The meeting brought together [Gulf Craft Group](https://gulfcraftgroup.com/) CEO Erwin Bamps and representatives from Sanya’s investment promotion, commerce, central business district and tourism authorities. The programme included visits to Gulf Craft’s boatbuilding facility at Thilafushi and its new shipyard at Gulf Craft Lagoon, followed by a hosted lunch and discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Discussions focused on the development of Sanya’s yacht industry, the opportunities presented by the Hainan Free Trade Port, and Sanya’s potential as a gateway to the wider Chinese market. Both sides explored the possibility of showcasing Gulf Craft’s luxury yacht brands and product portfolio, including Majesty and Nomad yachts, Oryx cabin cruisers, SilverCat power catamarans and its Maldivian-built passenger vessels, at the 2027 Sanya Yacht Show. The delegation also discussed the Hainan Free Trade Port’s “zero-tariff” policy and its potential application to operational yachts, alongside opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, develop market access and support future yacht sales in China. Erwin Bamps, CEO of Gulf Craft Group, highlighted the company’s growing presence in Asia and its interest in exploring further opportunities in the region, stating: “We have seen encouraging business developments across Asia, including the appointment of a new dealer for our Majesty brand in mainland China last month. With more than four decades of boatbuilding experience, we see further potential to bring our expertise and portfolio to the region. We look forward to exploring new avenues for growth, including opportunities in Sanya.” The meeting marks a positive step towards exploring potential collaboration between Gulf Craft and Sanya, with a shared interest in expanding yacht industry opportunities, promoting international engagement and supporting the continued development of the marine leisure sector in China. ![REJ\_3498](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/REJ_3498.jpeg?width=3610&height=2334&name=REJ_3498.jpeg) ![REJ\_3442.JPG](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/REJ_3442.JPG.jpeg?width=4496&height=3000&name=REJ_3442.JPG.jpeg) ![REJ\_3551.JPG](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/REJ_3551.JPG.jpeg?width=4496&height=3000&name=REJ_3551.JPG.jpeg) ![IMG\_7069 (1)](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_7069%20(1).jpeg?width=4032&height=3024&name=IMG_7069%20(1).jpeg)   ### Gulf Craft ### Related Blogs ###### [Gulf Craft Raises the Luxury Boating Standards at Maldives...](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/blog/gcmaldives_marineexpo2023_review-mv) Hulhumale, Maldives - Gulf Craft Maldives made a lasting impression at the...
