Established in 2016, SATA recognises excellence across South Asia’s travel, tourism and hospitality industries, bringing together industry leaders and organisations from across the region. The 2026 edition celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala ceremony on 8 October, recognising achievements across six countries: the Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. Gulf Craft Maldives’ involvement extended across the event, from the conference programme to direct engagement with industry contacts. Gulf Craft Group Chairman Mohammed Hussein Alshaali participated as a speaker on 7 October, discussing the connection between marine capability and tourism in the Maldives. Since establishing its presence in the Maldives in 2002, Gulf Craft Maldives has contributed to the country’s marine transport sector, supporting the movement of people across its islands. The company’s longstanding presence has given it a direct understanding of how maritime capability supports the wider tourism industry. Alongside its conference participation, Gulf Craft Maldives hosted clients and industry contacts in a dedicated lounge, providing a setting for meetings and discussions throughout the event. Two passenger boats, the Touring 50 and Grand Touring 46, were also displayed at the jetty, showcasing the company’s passenger vessel offering and its connection to the country’s maritime landscape. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing clients and engage with the wider regional tourism and hospitality community, reflecting Gulf Craft Maldives’ continued focus on its home market and the broader Asian region. As SATA celebrated a decade of recognising achievement across South Asia, Gulf Craft Maldives was proud to support the milestone as a Platinum Sponsor. The company extends its appreciation to the SATA organisers, its clients and industry contacts, and the Gulf Craft Maldives team for their contribution to a successful event. ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_1](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_1.jpg?width=696&height=464&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_1.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_2](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_2.jpg?width=696&height=471&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_2.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_3](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_3.jpg?width=696&height=464&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_3.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_4](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_4.jpg?width=9504&height=6336&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_4.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_8](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_8.jpg?width=696&height=464&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_8.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_7](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_7.jpg?width=696&height=464&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_7.jpg) ![SATA 2026\_GC Maldives\_9](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_9.jpg?width=6603&height=4404&name=SATA%202026_GC%20Maldives_9.jpg)   ### Gulf Craft ### Related Blogs ###### [Gulf Craft Maldives Reinforces Market Leadership With Three...](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/blog/gulf-craft-maldives-three-launches-at-maldives-marine-expo-2026) [Gulf Craft Maldives](https://maldives.gulfcraftinc.com/) marked the opening day of the Maldives Marine Expo 2026...
